not much to say recently but since i took a little trip to burning life i figured i’d share some photos.

Beautiful Freaks
come one come all to the beautiful freaks burlesque circus! last night i was invited by my dear friend jessyka richard to see her debut performance in the center ring. it was an exciting night filled with curiosities. she did an amazing show and blew away the audience 😀
for those that missed it, here are some photos of the night.
our emcees, boo and curt provided witty banter between the preformances.
there was a lady on a car, in a very cool bubble that had a moving city scape to give the appearance that she was on a moving car.
a hungry vampire temptress cooed to the crowd, trying to grab a late night snack.
a pirate danced for the mermaid he caught.
jessyka’s performance which was an interesting tribute to second life! i won’t go into detail, you’ll just have to see it for yourself sometime :p
a sexy psychopath in a padded room who snipped away at her dress with a pair of surgical scissors
and a lovely dolly rounded out the night with a bit of a particle light show.
it was a very cool night and all the performers did very well! i am proud of my jess and i think she is going to be an exceptional addition to the cast.

adventures in japan: Giftmas Edition
its giftmas time and lucas and i decided to go check out probably the BEST giftmas event on the entire grid. the love soul and nipponbashi sims are COVERED IN ZOMBIES! santa zombies to be technical, and they need your help to put a stop to their evil rein of terror.
lucas and i carefully donned out battle gear in preparation for the task at hand… ok i donned battle gear.
(actually he put on the santa suit but sl would not let me see it so lol this is what he was wearing when he got here)
you start out with a choice between reindeer or santa suit, a hud and a pillow starter weapon. the object of the game is simple, beat the shit out of zombies, level up, and collect prizes along the way!
the pillow sucks but it has a great death animation :p
i finally leveled up and found a ticket for the death hand which is quite useful though i keep running out of energy very fast D:
lucas and i took to the streets of nipponbashi and battled many scary boss zombies. i died many times.
we also browsed some of the shops and cafes along the way. someone translate this for me.. because i want to know what it says lol.
i found out that the cake really is a lie.. and often contains traps.
and lucas found a merry go round that makes you sit on a pig in a slutty pose.
we even found awesome gift ideas for arahan!
busy busy busy
ugh.. i have been a busy little undead bee since returning to second life with my new graphics card, so i haven’t had time to really blog much.
in a small span of time i have completed my GODart picture, had a rl birthday, updated some skins and tshirts, and helped lucas make an item for the twisted hunt.
PHEW!
my birthday was the 24th and i gave horrible short notice to my friends, inviting them to the party the night before… and so… hardly any of them showed up. some of them were actually online during the party, but me being too timid a person, was too chicken to im them and ask them why they were not in attendance.. meh.. i’m just going to tell myself that they probably didn’t read the note card..
anyway the party was great! we held it in mismera which is an awesome rp sim owned by my friend fenni crispien. the sim is open to the public but not finished, so it was a perfect place to hold our party. we had it in jolene’s which is a really awesome roadhouse style bar and fenni even “baked” me a cake!
is that not the most awesome cake you have ever seen in your friggin life??
we partied until dawn and the partied more… after the official party ended, we ended up sticking around, and i played music from my dark secret archive of booty rap.. lol lots of fun and lots of lucas pole dancing! i have the best boyfriend ever…
the GODart picture i can’t show you yet but of course i will be inviting you all to the gallery when its open in september! so you can check it out there along with the other awesome artists that will be shown as well.
the twisted hunt starts september 1st and i can’t wait! we have an awesome prize and as usual its limited edition AND it is another piece to the doll set that the key (from vain’s feb hunt) comes from! in celebration of that, i updated all 3 of my doll skins with the new eloh elliott template and they are GORGEOUS.
i also redid all of my snarkey tshirts and they are looking great! i am getting better at this stuff and it makes me happy to see how much has changed.
now i need a nap X_x
there’s something you guys should see
i have an amazing friend in second life named arahan claveau. he does this amazing stuff called art. do you guys know what art is? no i’m not talking about photo shopping second life pictures, i’m talking about actual art! anyway, he’s a part of this great art show and i think you all should check it out.
brooklyn is watching, is an amazing idea set up by a gallery in the real world called “jack the pelican presents”, that allows people to set up small installations (or not so small) on their sim, at no cost, for about a week, and then they kick it back to you. the coolest part about it is that the whole thing is shown, live, via a computer in the actual gallery, that people in the gallery can navigate around with a small eyeball avatar. so not just second life people get to see the exhibits.
recently “biw” had a huge contest to determine the best of their first year in sl, and finally they chose their 5 winners. those winners are Dancoyote Antonelli, Bryn Oh, Nebulosus Severine, Selavy Oh and Glyph Graves. they were all given a copy of a prim version of the real gallery and told to run with it. their installations will be judged by some people and a winner will be determined out of those 5.
now some of the artists didn’t really like the fact that they were pretty much pitted against one another in a competition, and one of those, the winner selavy oh, decided to make his version of the gallery an installation inside an installation.
selavy asked some of the “rejected” artists to join his exhibit, and show their works. sorta sticking up a middle finger to the whole contest and making it even harder for the judges to decide. i really think he should win solely based on the fact that he gave up his chance to show things in favour of giving his space to others.
one of the people asked to make an installation in selavy’s space, is my dear mr. claveau. arahan has made some amazing, and thought provoking art over the years, and has always been a kind and wonderful friend to me, so i was very excited when he invited lucas and i to see what he had done for the show.
why yes, i am being an ass and not taking a good photo of this so that you will have to actually go and see it!
arahan’s exhibit is very personal to him and though it seems very vacant from this photo, there is a lot of feelings involved in it. he includes a note card which will help you understand what he’s trying to get at, but really even without the note card, you can tell that this is a piece of him. he’s recently also written a blog post about it if you would be interested in a full explanation.
the entire show is pretty amazing, and the artists selavy oh picked are all very different and their exhibits are all very… well.. lets just say, different 😉 and i suck because i forgot the names of most of the people showing in selavy’s space, but i do know that ichibot is also in there, and his stuff is usually a lot of wtf.. but i love it. so dammit there’s plenty to see all around!
the show kicks off today at 1pm slt and runs until august 23rd. you can read more about it, and brooklyn is watching at their website. and do go see the show!

Nimil’s Hair Fair Report
i had a wonderful time at the hair fair preview thing! even though a few booths were still empty or half open i was able to grab most of the stuff i wanted on preview day!
this year’s hair fair was themed after candy land, and i was dying of sugar shock at every turn. giant cup cakes! candy! and of course hair (now thinking about it.. getting candy in your hair or hair in your candy is kinda gross)
there were some great booths, and some interesting hair this year, and of course there was lag… even though they asked us to keep the arc down i saw plenty of people there in friggin ball gowns and arc’s well over 2k. i myself chose a very low arc outfit, no shoes, and hair from etd which kept me in the green and somewhere around 400 i think.

congrats to this year’s flickr contest winners! i was lazy and didn’t enter this year (oops) but i was very blown away with those who did! everyone should go check them out!
i know i showed up in different hair but my friend autumn gave me her awesome new hair called gattina and i decided i had to wear it for the rest of the day! it worked well with my outfit as well!

there was alot of great crazy hair at the hair fair, here’s a couple that i didn’t actually buy but i did admire alot.
this one is by curio obscura (i hope i got that right, i’m not on sl at the moment to check!) and it’s called “let them eat cake off of your head” and it features some crazy doll hair style curls and mountains of cake 😮 perfect for the hair fair theme this year! just please don’t wear it at the hair fair please!
this one is by toast bard and i am stupid and forgot to note down the name of it but it made me laugh since you could pretty much call yourself a pot head when you wear it :p. i might actually go back and get this one.
while roaming around, i bumped into the owner of calico creations and she tossed me a blogger pack of hair 😀 she was actually the only hair designer at the preview who actually did that, and i will be blogging that in another post later on! she is also wearing a cute style that i ended up buying a black pack of because i can never have too many pig tails. anyway i wanted to take a photo of her because she was very nice 🙂

the hair at house of munster is awesome and really fits my punk/goth moods. i will be going back for more of her hair fair hair because she didn’t have the black pack vendor set out for one of the hairs i wanted, but i did grab another from her booth that i will have in my hair fair haul blog later on.

Tymmerie Thorne has organized a gallery showing of as many photos from the butt meme that she could get permission for. so with lucas’ permission i submitted the picture i took 😀 so from the 13th to the 30th of this month, our asses will be hanging in a gallery with some other asses from all over second life XD. this will be the third time one of my photos has been in some sort of gallery showing. yay!
my rez day is 2 days away! time has totally flown by and i still haven’t decided if i want to do anything, and if i do want to do something, what i want to do, and/or where i want to do said thing. *sighs* 3 years in sl and i still wander around like a chicken with my head cut off.
i don’t know what else to talk about, haven’t been up to much lately. been lazy D:
Happy Birthday Isle of Shadows!
wow i can’t believe it’s been a whole year now!
tomorrow starting at 9am slt, our land mistress aiko will be having a huge party for the Isle of Shadows. we’ve lived at the isle for a long time, actually longer than it’s been the Isle of Shadows, but that’s another story for another day. today i would like to congratulate aiko on a full year at isle of shadows, and thank her for allowing lucas and i to live there, and play there.
for those who are not familiar, the isle of shadows is a bdsm community complete with a club, dungeon, and class room. the classes are expertly taught by members of the sl and rl bdsm community, ranging from beginner lessons in how to become involved in bdsm, and how to emote, to advanced classes in protocol, and the psychology of bdsm, etc… as well, the island serves as a beautiful home for those of us who live there.
so here’s to you aiko, thank you for the awesome island and here’s to a few more years (sl willing)!
